Live Event
In December 2019, we raised £3,000 to sponsor a homeless person through the 3-month programme
over at Buses4Homeless in
Acton. To raise the £3000, we did a week of fundraising from the 7th – 14th December 2019. We
began by completing a
sponsored 7k night-time walk in London and to end it all, on Saturday 14th December, there was a
live streamed TV show,
produced entirely in-house, full of song, dance and spoken word performances by students and
graduates from RAaW London.
Throughout the night, there were also volunteers handing out bags of essentials and coats, as
well as soup to homeless
people in the surrounding area. We had a total of 65 amazing volunteers throughout the week who
helped in various ways,
from spreading awareness to donating or performing.
Christmas Hamper Project
At the end of 2020, Haven for Hope teamed up with Beyond the Streets and women@thewell to
deliver clothes, necessities, such as sanitary products, hats and gloves and hampers including
nail polish, hair accessories, makeup, creams and face masks to women who needed them after a
particularly difficult year. We reached out to our online audience and to the young people and
their families at RAaW London to make donations before sorting the items and making deliveries.
Stevens Technique Holistic Workshops
Throughout 2020, Robbi Stevens booked exciting, ground breaking workshops using her own
technique to help vulnerable women, partnering with Women At The Well and Beyond The Streets.
Due to Covid, no sooner were they booked, than they were cancelled which opened up the
opportunity to produce the workshops on film and. The Stevens Technique Vlogs were born! They
are currently in production and are aimed at helping with mental, physical, and spiritual
wellbeing. There are both thirty-minute workshops and five-minute exercises to be used wherever
and whenever. We are aiming to reach many more beneficiaries and partnerships through this
medium and look forward to reaching out and building a stronger community.
